Was using a putty knife and a trim board tool that had more length to scrape out the grass under the decks on my riding mower with 48" deck and my walk behind self propelled mower with 30" deck. This tool replaces both of those given the longer handle and that sturdy metal blade with rounded edge. Those features combine to make the effort needed to remove the dried on grass much much easier.After my home made scraper broke in two after about 35 years, I bought this scraper. Very sturdy and has a nice strong handle. Not sure if I will be around in 35 years but I am sure this scraper will be.Felt like this was a bit pricey but upon receiving it and using it, have decided it’s worth every dime! Well made, well designed and does the job!!This tool works very well at clearing out the grass because of its contour. It's well made so will be durable.used first time yesterday, works better than putty knife. satisfied with it and fast shipping.You can't beat this product. all it takes is one try and you'll be hooked!Works great for my lawnmower.
