We got these for outdoor Christmas decorations and hung them from some low tree branches. They require 4 AA batteries, each. Fortunately, however, they seem to be fairly efficient and we didn't have to change the batteries running them 6 hours a day for about 3 weeks. Each " burst" comes with its own remote, but they all can be controlled from one remote. They can be programmed for different light patterns, i..e, constant, blinking, chasing, etc. Cited as a feature is the ability to bend each strand to make star bursts, bouquets, etc., but it is kind of tedious and time consuming to make each one into a star burst as pictured because each strand has to be bent and positioned. To store them, the strands have to be unbent in order to put them away for the year. As I was collapsing them down to fit back in their boxes. I kept thinking about what a pain in the neck it's going to be next year to make them into starbursts again. cNo.I love this product! I used it in the yard on a tree for Christmas decorations and now I am using it inside alone or in a vase with other bouquets like in the picture. I like the fact that the batteries were well protected against the elements (rain, snow) by the case when outside and the fact that you can program them to flash or be steady! I plan on buying more to fill out a whole tree by next Christmas!Nice reasonably priced lights. Bought them to hang from flowerpot hooks on my deck at Christmas. They were too small & delicate to achieve the desired giant snowball effect. I liked that you could use 1 remote for all of them, with option to use individual remotes. My biggest complaint is that 1 or 2 would often not go on. I thought the batteries were dead, but I was able to turn them manually. It was tedious initially to arrange wires in a firework pattern.First let me say that these are very cute/pretty and I really liked all the different light patterns. I also liked that you could use one remote to control multiple light sets. I hung them outside for Christmas as a snowflake-like decoration. Even using the expensive lithium batteries they wore out the batteries within less than a week. Each light uses 4 AA batteries. Multiply than by 8 lights... it wasn’t cheap for what I had hoped was a simple decoration choice.We initially used alkaline batteries and those were dead after 8 hours or so. Huge waste of money on batteries that way as well.If you want one or two to hang outside in the summer for one night, not a bad choice. If you plan on using them more than 8 hours, don’t recommend. Especially in cold weather. I hope someone can recommend a better version of these cute lights.The first box we ordered was incomplete but the lights are beautiful and bright. The company was great though and a replacement was sent automatically.I am satisfied with the product. It's not quite what I thought but it still will work.
