This is my #1 favorite tarot deck. I know there are other art styles that catch my eye over The Rider Waite, but none of them come in this form factor. I've gone through many of these decks, given away a few, and even lost one to an overzealous teething puppy (whose name is Mr. Crowley ironically enough).I do collect other Tarot Decks for their art and some have specific uses, like the Thoth deck or The Ceremonial Magick Tarot, but none of them go anywhere with me.This deck has accompanied me on many trips, and I see myself buying more in the future. They're just so easy to toss in my pocket, a backpack pocket, a glovebox, etc.I wish other tarot decks came in this same size, but so far this is the only one I've found. There are "pocket" editions of other decks, but none of them are this small. Even the Lo Scarabeo and Llewelyn mini tarot decks are still bigger than this one.The next size down is the "Tiny" tarot deck which is basically the size of postage stamps and not really conducive to practical use. Really, the "pocket" version of any deck should be -this- size. I'm not sure who decided the "pocket" sizes being sold were supposed to be that big but they must have had giant pockets.Either these “ miniature” or another deck labeled “ small” are the right size to get my hands around and shuffle and actually use. These are perfectly tiny for travel, card stock is nice and pic details are good.I bought these cards specifically to put into a Tarot section of a witch guide/journal book I’m making for myself.I almost feel guilty for not using them to their full potential ?Easy to carry, sooo cute, you can still have same connection as like big deck. I love it. I can not explain how much I love it ❤️❤️❤️I carry them around with me in my purse all the time. Only issue is the images don’t jump out as vividly as a full sized set, but it’s perfect for an in-a-pinch reading for a friend or on a break at work, especially if you are already intimate with the RW symbolism and card meanings. I would not recommend these as a first deck as a beginner. Get a nice over sized deck and learn the system first. They have the right thickness for the size, as they shuffle surprising well for such a small deck. I have full sized and over sized decks that are harder to shuffle. All in all super happy with them. This deck is the second card from the right.I LOVE mini stuff! I had previously purchased the keychain size and loved them, but couldn’t really use them! These little guys?!?! PERFECT! My hands are not tiny but they’re not big… so even normal sized tarot decks are hard to shuffle all at once, and always make my hands cramp or hurt. This deck is amazing! No aches no pains! My biggest pet peeve about tarot cards is that they stick together or they’re too big for your hands… and this set is NEITHER. What a Fun deck to keep zipped in your purse. They are slick and easy to maneuver…plus small enough to use a travel size or take to friends houses. I read cards that flip out and this set is perfect for this type of communication with the cards. This deck is lovely, dispite its size it hasn't lost any of the detail and the images and cards themselves are of great quility. The booklet contains all of the same information as the one that comes with standard decks and it is perfectly readable. I have shown a picture of one of the cards from this deck against a standard deck card and another in my palm to give some perspective on the size. Being light and portable I can see me using them more than my standard deck just for the fact that they are easy to pick up and place with little space needed. A great gift too!Neat set of Waite's tarot cards, miniature size but still very clearly printed.Arthur Edward Waite was the intellect behind these cards and I consider them 'his' for that reason. Pamela Colman Smith drew them but had no other input, despite the attempts by some to give her most of the credit. Indeed, the 'cult which is being promoted around her is both unjustified and unhealthy.A E Waite may well turn out to be one of Englan'd greatest mystics - look at his other works, which include extensive writings on the occult and thoughtful mystical poetry. You might start with his autobiography 'Shadows of Life and Thought'. His sometimes difficult use of English is something to be appreciated, as a previous reviewer has noted. The size for the mini isn’t too bad,Although I could barely read in the description in the book that comes with the deck, as it’s very small print. Either change the font in the book and make it bold so other people can actually read it. I don’t usually have to wear glasses but I had to get a pair of glasses out. Which isn’t good for my eye sight.I have used the mini deck for years, because I have small hands and they take up less room when you do a larger spread, such as the Celtic Cross. The classic Rider Waite is still my favourite deck for complex psychological questions. Both arcana are illustrated, making it easy even for the beginner to get a feel for the meaning of the cards. The imagery is nice and clear, and not flashy so it helps rather than distract from divining work. I like the 1920s interpretation of medieval times by the illustrator, Pamela Colman Smith, a gifted but tragically underestimated woman in her time. This mini deck is of a nice quality, the cards aren't cheaply produced, sturdy enough and not too slippery. Very nice.Wendy Gillissen, author of award-winning spiritual adventure I first of all congratulate Amazon and the delivery service for getting these to me 5 days before the original estimated delivery date despite 2 x 24 hr postal strikes.I have decided to return to the Tarot after a break and bought a book to renew and reinforce my understanding. The book used this pack (with another) as part of the "course" so I sent for this pack and a pack of my favourite Marseilles.I have to admit it is not my favourite pack for actual readings but that is personal preference.I did have a larger sized pack of these but the cards were too big for comfortable shuffling - yet I don't have small hands. This pack is a perfect size to handle. The cards are 3 inches high x one and three quarter inches wide. They have a nice shiny surface so slide easily over each other. They are coloured the same as my previous pack so the printing is ok.Lots of beginners like these because almost all the cards have descriptive pictures.Someone else has said in a review that they are handbag sized. He/She were right. I have not laid them out on a table yet but they will make the larger spreads fit a smaller space. Common sense really.Thank you.
